Quiz Flow Overview

Quiz Flow is a guided questionnaire that helps visitors find the right resources in your directory. Instead of browsing and filtering manually, visitors answer a few questions and FieldFlow shows them the most relevant results.

  1. You create a quiz with questions and answer options
  2. Each answer is tagged with keywords
  3. FieldFlow’s AI maps those tags to your directory’s taxonomy terms
  4. When a visitor completes the quiz, they see a filtered view of your directory matching their answers

Quiz Flow is especially helpful when:

  • Your directory has many records and visitors might feel overwhelmed
  • Visitors don’t know the right terminology to search or filter
  • You want to guide people through a decision process (e.g., “What kind of help do you need?”)
  • Your audience is less tech-savvy and benefits from a conversational approach

A nonprofit resource directory might have a quiz like:

What do you need help with today?

  • Finding housing
  • Getting food assistance
  • Legal help
  • Finding a job

Based on the answer, the directory filters to show only relevant resources.

You can embed the quiz in three ways:

ModeWhat happens
Quiz onlyShows the quiz, then filtered results
Quiz + DirectoryShows quiz first, then reveals directory with results. Visitor can also browse the full directory
Directory onlyNo quiz, just the standard directory (default)

Set the mode in your embed code or the Publish tab.

  1. Create a quiz with questions and options
  2. Set up tag mapping to connect answers to your data
  3. Activate the quiz in your project settings
  4. Update your embed code to use quiz mode
