Automatic Sync

Automatic sync keeps your directory up to date without manual intervention. Set a schedule and FieldFlow will pull fresh data from your Google Sheet at regular intervals.

  1. Go to your project’s Sync tab
  2. Toggle Automatic Sync to on
  3. Choose an interval:
IntervalBest for
Every 30 minutesData that changes frequently throughout the day
Every hourActive directories with regular updates
Every 6 hoursDirectories updated a few times per day
Every 12 hoursDirectories updated once or twice daily
Every 24 hoursDirectories updated daily or less
  1. Click Save
  • FieldFlow checks the time since your last successful sync
  • When the interval has elapsed, it automatically queues a sync job
  • The sync runs in the background on the FieldFlow worker
  • If the sync fails, it retries up to 3 times
  • You’ll receive an email notification if all retries fail (if email notifications are enabled)

Automatic sync requires:

  • A connected Google account
  • A valid project with at least one successful manual sync

Check the Sync tab anytime to see:

  • When the next automatic sync is scheduled
  • History of recent automatic syncs (marked as “Scheduled” type)
  • Any failures or warnings

In Account Settings > Notifications, you can enable:

  • Sync failure alerts — get emailed when a sync fails after all retries
  • These are per-user, not per-project

Automatic sync is available on all paid plans. The sync interval options are the same across all plans.
